System requirements

Every game comes with a set of suggested system requirements. These are based on the game’s design and our testing. While meeting the system requirements gives you the best chance for smooth gameplay, we always recommend playing the trial version to confirm compatibility.

Checking a game's system requirements

1. Find the PC or Mac game of interest.
2. Look for information like the following under the game's sample images: 

   

Requirement guide:

• OS (Operating System): The version of Windows or Mac software currently installed on your computer. For more information, see: Supported Operating Systems.
• CPU (Central Processing Unit): The part of the computer that gives directions and runs programs.
• RAM (Random Access Memory): The hardware responsible for saving and retrieving information.
• DirectX (Windows only): A set of Microsoft programs used to run games on Windows.
• Hard Drive:The hardware that stores information. 
• Browser: The program you use to access the internet. Examples: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge.

How to Check Your Computer's System Information

For Windows Users:

Windows 11:

1. Open the Start Menu by clicking the Windows icon.
2. Search for "System Information" and select it.
3. Check your OS Version, Processor, RAM, and Graphics.

Windows 10:

1. Right-click the Start button and select System.
2. Under Device Specifications, review your Processor, Installed RAM, and System Type.
3. For more details, click Advanced System Settings and go to the System tab.

Windows 8.1 / 8:

1. Press the Windows + X keys and select System.
2. Review OS, Processor, and RAM.

Windows 7 / Vista:

1. Click the Start menu, type dxdiag into the search bar, and press Enter.
2. The DirectX Diagnostic Tool will appear. Click Save All Information and save the report to your desktop for review.

Windows XP:

1. Open the Start menu and click Run.
2. Type dxdiag, click OK, and save the report to your desktop.

For DirectX version details, check the DirectX Diagnostic Tool (dxdiag).

For Mac Users:

1. Click the Apple Menu in the top-left corner.
2. Select About This Mac.
3. Most information you need (OS version, processor, and memory) will appear under the Overview tab. For more detailed specs, click System Report.

Playing Trial Versions

Most Big Fish games offer a free trial version, allowing you to test whether the game works on your system. Here’s how to play:

1. Find the Game: Locate the game you want to try.
2. Click the Play Now Button: This will download the trial through the Big Fish Games app (Game Manager).
3. Install and Play: The game will be downloaded, and you’ll be able to start playing within minutes.

Even if your system meets the recommended requirements, playing the trial is the best way to confirm the game works smoothly on your computer.

To play a trail, simply locate the game you wish to try. Click the Play Now button and follow the prompts to download and activate the game.
