Which payment methods can I use with Big Fish Games?

A credit or debit card is required. We accept the following payment methods:

• Visa
• American Express
• MasterCard

PayPal Payments are also accepted as long as a credit or debit card is stored on file. This card will only be used as an alternate in case the PayPal transaction is unsuccessful.

Please note that PayPal is not an accepted payment method when signing up for a Big Fish Games Club Membership trial. You may change your payment method to PayPal after you've started your membership within your account settings.

Are prepaid cards accepted?

Our system does not currently accept prepaid cards such as gift cards or reloadable cards. Depending on how they're categorized by the card issuer, this may include the following types of cards:

• Payroll cards
• Direct deposit cards
• Gift cards from a card issuer
• Preloadable cards
• Reloable/refillable cards
• SSI cards

Please note: prepaid cards can be used as the alternate payment method on your PayPal account.

You can safely enter your billing information while making purchases from Big Fish Games. Our site is guaranteed secure and all submitted information is encrypted and protected.

How do I make payments using PayPal?

You can use your PayPal account to make single game purchases as well as recurring Big Fish Game Club purchases. PayPal will require an alternate credit card on file.

Payment will be drawn from your main PayPal balance. PayPal Bill Me Later and SmartConnect do not work for these purchases.

Use PayPal for a single purchase

1. Sign in or create a free Big Fish Games account.
2. Find a PC or Mac game and click the Buy Now button if you wish to purchase the game.
3. Click the Add New Payment Info button on the left side of the cart and choose PayPal as your Payment type.
4. Fill out your payment information, look over your order to make sure it's correct, then click Place Order to make the purchase.

You’ll be taken to the PayPal site to log in to your PayPal account. Once you agree to the terms and conditions, PayPal will direct you back to the Big Fish Games shopping cart to complete your order.

This will create a payment method associated with your Big Fish Games account. If you prefer not to have this information stored in your account, you can remove the payment profile on your Billing Info page.

Since the Game Club includes a recurring monthly charge, active members would have to cancel the membership from the My Game Club page before removing the payment profile.

Use PayPal as your Big Fish Game Club payment method

PayPal users who join Big Fish Game Club are requested to enter a back-up credit card when creating a PayPal payment profile. This card will only be used in case the recurring PayPal transaction is unsuccessful. The additional credit card information is stored by PayPal and will not be visible under your Big Fish Games account.

How to create a PayPal payment profile

1. Go to your Billing Info page.
2. Click Add new payment method.
3. Choose PayPal as your Payment Method.
4. Click Done and you’ll be directed to PayPal.
5. Choose the payment profile from your account and click Agree and Continue. PayPal will direct you back to our site.

How do I use a coupon code?

You can apply your coupon code in the shopping cart when making a purchase.

To apply a coupon code:

1. Sign in to your Big Fish account, or create a free account.
2. Find a game and click Buy Now to add the game to your shopping cart. 
3. In the shopping cart, enter your coupon code in the Have a coupon code? box.

   

   Make sure to enter your code exactly as it appears. We recommend that you copy (Ctrl + C) and paste (Ctrl + V) your code to avoid any errors.

4. Click Apply.

After clicking Apply:

• If you are using a discount coupon and have a remaining balance, please enter a payment method.
• If you do not have a remaining balance, the order will be processed without a payment method.
• Game Club members: Applying a coupon code will override the use of a Game Club credit when applied toward a standard version game. The Game Club credit will remain available on your account for later use.

Why is my coupon code not valid?

An error message will appear after entering an invalid coupon code. Here are a few reasons why this might happen:

• The coupon code wasn't entered correctly. Try copying and pasting your code.
• The coupon code was single-use and has already been redeemed.
• The coupon code doesn't apply to the items in the shopping cart. Some codes only work for standard version games while others only work for Collector's Editions.
• The coupon code has expired.
• A different coupon code or discount has already been applied to your game (including Daily Deal and The Catch discounts). To remove the coupon, click "Remove" under "Applied Coupons".
• The coupon code NEWGAME70 is for first time customers and can only be used once per customer.

How to copy and paste

The following steps serve as an example of how to copy and paste. The same procedure may be used to copy and paste your coupon code.

1. Place your mouse cursor at the beginning of the text in the box below.
2. Click and hold the left mouse button, and then drag your mouse over the text to highlight it.
3. Release the left mouse button and place the cursor over the highlighted text, then right-click the mouse.
4. From the list of options, choose Copy.
5. Now, right-click your mouse in the empty box below and select the Paste option.

To copy: Highlight text as shown above, then hold the Ctrl key while pressing C to copy. (Mac users press CMD + C.)

To paste: Click your mouse where you want the text pasted, then hold the Ctrl key while pressing V to paste. (Mac users press CMD + V.)

Can I use coupon codes for iOS (iPad, iPhone, iPod) or Android games?

No. Games for iOS and Android devices are purchased through a different store (such as Apple's App Store or Google Play). Since the Big Fish purchasing system is not used, our coupon codes will not work for these games.

We no longer offer new gift certificates for purchase. 

 If you already have a gift certificate with a balance, you may still use it to make a purchase. Keep in mind, purchases made with a Gift Certificate will not earn Big Fish Points. 

Need help redeeming a gift certificate? 

1. Sign in to the Big Fish Games site, or create a Big Fish account if you don't already have one.
2. Find a standard version (not a Collector's Edition) game and click Buy Now on the game page.
   
   
3. In the shopping cart, type your gift certificate coupon code into the Have a coupon code? box and click Apply Code. 
   
   
4. Review your subtotal and click Place Order to submit your order. 
   
   

Redeeming a 5 Game Gift Certificate? 

When redeeming a 5 Game Gift Certificate, you can use it to get multiple games (up to 5) in the same order or you can use it to get individual games in separate orders. No matter how you choose to redeem the gift certificate, it will expire after you've used it on 5 games. 

We recommend that you copy and paste your code to avoid errors. 

• PC users: Highlight the text, then hold down the Ctrl key while pressing the C key to copy. Then hold down Ctrl and press V to paste. 
• Mac users: Hold ⌘ and press C to copy, then hold ⌘ and press V to paste. 

 

📱 Android (Google Play Store)

To make a purchase:

1. Open the game on your Android device.
2. Navigate to the Shop or Store section within the game.
3. Select the item or bundle you wish to purchase.
4. A Google Play purchase window will appear.
5. Confirm your payment method and tap Buy.
6. Once the transaction is complete, your items will be delivered instantly.

💡 You must be signed into a Google account with a valid payment method (credit/debit card, PayPal, carrier billing, etc.).

🍏 iOS (Apple App Store)

To make a purchase:

1. Launch the game on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Go to the Shop or Store section.
3. Choose the item you want to buy.
4. An Apple App Store confirmation screen will appear.
5. Authenticate using Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple ID password.
6. After confirmation, your purchase will be processed and delivered.

To make a purchase:

1. Open the game on your Kindle Fire device.
2. Navigate to the Shop or Store section.
3. Select the item you want to purchase.
4. The Amazon Appstore purchase screen will appear.
5. Confirm your payment method and tap Buy.
6. Your items will be added to your account once the transaction is complete.
