How do I back up the information on my Apple device?
Regularly backing up the data on your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch will leave you better prepared in case you lose important information in a game or app.
If you've backed up your device, you'll be able to restore it later, which means that your device will have the exact same data that it had when you backed it up. If you lost your character profile or saved game data, and have a recent backup handy, you can restore that data.
How to create a backup
- Connect your device to a computer with the latest version of iTunes installed.
- Open iTunes, go to Devices and select your device.
- Right-click (or Control-click) the device and select Back Up.
