What are these $1.00 charges?
These charges are called authorizations. What looks like a $1.00 charge on your card is actually an authorization or authorization hold.
An authorization is a way for our billing partner to test the legitimacy of a newly added or recently updated billing profile.
Are the charges permanent?
Authorizations are temporary and should disappear shortly after the bank or credit card company confirms the account is able to process transactions. The time an authorization appears can vary based on the bank.
If the authorization hasn’t disappeared after several days, it may be a good idea to contact your card issuer to see why the funds are being held.
